The Raven’s Tale Continues

About the Spectacle

After taking a half a year break, Travel Log of a Raven picks up where it left off with our Raven traveling a treacherous pass in the Tarrelesse Mountains. Though you may have forgotten about our dear Raven in these past several months, for me this transitional entry, "Day 22 - The Spectacle", has been simply a slaughterhouse of drafts edited and rewritten. Running the gauntlet of hookless endings, long-winded narratives and aimless writings about “tripping out”, The Spectacle finally reaches a quality equal to its name. With 30-40 pages of scraped drafts behind me, I am relieved and ecstatic to bring you something amazing that will carry you, my dear reader, past this bizarre twist in the story and not lose you entirely.

Introducing Travel Log of a Raven

I've been working late into the evenings, trying to change up the website to prepare it for story blogging Travel Log of a Raven. I'm excited to be trying to produce something weekly. I already have a few unpolished weeks ready to go to help me hit the ground running. They will also give me some idea of what direction the story will be heading.

Travel Log of a Raven

Travel Log of a Raven immerses the reader in a culture built around forty years of war. The three warring Kingdoms have just declared Peace because all three armies decimated each other. There’s not many men around; they’re all dead. The travel log follows the adventures of a former Raven (a peasant who earns a wages by carrying dead nobility back home after a battle) whose occupation has just been eliminated.

New Works

Up Late Working

I've been churning out more stories from the realms of Kingdoms and Curses lately. After a brief-extended stint of brainsquish due to lack of sleep, I'm now working on some new adventures, "Journals of the Legacy Liar". These new stories will be published on this website weekly in a travel blog-like format, which, in the pre-internet days, used to be called Travel Journals. These stories will be less polished than writings in the original the book, Kingdoms and Curses, but then again, most blog posts are.

I'm also working on another book and several other writing projects. (When I've got writer's block on one, I can escape to another.) The original book, Kingdoms and Curses was published nearly a year and a half ago and is available on Amazon.

The new journey begins soon!

Publishing Updates and Complete Campaign

I would like to thank everybody who supported me in this funding campaign. We've exceeded our goal and have manage to raise $2500 in funds.

As for the publishing process, Diana Hartman has completed all the illustrations and they look amazing!  I have, however reached a critical error in formatting the book interior (the layout wasn't saving properly and creating random pagebreaks).  After nearly being done, I've had to start all over again in a new, unfamiliar program. A minor setback, but still requires a few more hours of work.  We'll see if we can get it done in time for my deadline.

I have ordered all
