I have lunged forward in progress this, with somewhat a scattered brain.
I compiled the book into one document, and learned the nuances of Word styles in the process. The book is off to another editor for mostly minor polishing changes here and there, but we'll see. The last and final story is a bit rough around the edges, only because I didn't have the distance from it as I have the others (which brings editing clarity to that first draft mentality.)
Publishing Fun
With the book off at editing, I've been everywhere at once, looking at publishing guidelines in Amazon, downloading interior and exterior templates to work with, deciding on a size... all the ins and outs of putting the book together without having the completed editing drafts. I've lucked out on the cover art, coming across this beautiful image in iStock which was actually reasonably priced and not a $30 small little image.

Several months have passed, but not without detours, reprieves, and much thought.

More work tonight. I created accounts for Hootsuite and a newsletter component. I have some ideas on donation, forms, and subscription extensions to install. I'm trying to get all my social networks synced in with one another. My brain is mush right now.
I ran into the artist Diana Hartman this week. Instead of having to writer her an email, I just asked her if she could illustrate the interior of my book. I'm still debating whether to market it as a comedy or more dramatic or adventure-like. My dominating story, the mini-novella that's 80 pages, is a comedy, however the rest of the stories are not so much. I'm leaning more toward comedy, however I'm awaiting feedback to make the final decision.
