Pre-marketing I've setup a Website, blog, Facebook and Twitter accounts. Though nothing in the marketing of the book has been initiated, cover design, logo, ect, I'm already creating my footprint for the web. Whenever your footprint begins, you begin to gather traffic. Search Engines often sandbag sites for a few months to verify they're legit before you can even begin to imagine being on the first page of Google, so the earlier you create your footprint, the more traction it begins to gather.
Everything is quite basic now. The logo, a cheep squiggle graphic I came up with. It's because the specific look is not the point at this stage, it's the traction I'm trying to gather with search engines. This basic branding will link me between all venues so that a user will know instantly all pages associated with the same book, but it's not to create the aura for the reader at this point, so I'm not going to spend any time on it.
